Macrame and fashion

Chloe, Jil Sander, Alberta Feretti… - They all offer items with  handmade elements this season.

Long ago, weaving knots was thought to have mystical meaning, and in ancient Rome  this handicraft was prohibited due to associations with witchcraft. Then, the Europeans decided that it was still very beautiful and began to weave serviettes, tablecloths and garments. Since 1970, weaving, macramé in particular, has been associated with the hippie culture. However, the woven tops in Altuzarra collection look fresh and trendy.
